Abbotsford School District Parents and Community Resources

You'll find a variety of resources that may be helpful to your family. If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to your school counsellor, youth care worker, principal, middle or high school mental health clinician, or one of our community partners.

Family Smart

We committed ourselves over 20 years ago to child and youth mental health and our commitment has only grown over time. Exceptional care and caring is what children, youth and families deserve and it’s what we stay committed to. We help children and young people by helping their family and other caring adults. We know children and young people do better when the adults who care about
them are supported.

Foundry

Foundry Abbotsford offers free, confidential services for youth ages 12–24 and their families, including mental health, substance use, primary care, peer support, and social services in a youth-friendly space. Youth and families have shaped the design, programs, and culture of Foundry. With 14 program partners, including Fraser Health and lead agency Archway Community Services, we bring services together under one roof—making it easier to find the right support, from medical care to counselling, groups, and activities.

Media Smarts

MediaSmarts has been developing digital media literacy programs and resources for Canadian homes, schools and communities since 1996. Our work falls into three main areas: education, public awareness, and research and policy.

Speech and Hearing BC

Speech and Hearing BC is a not-for-profit association with more than 1200 member speech-language pathologists and audiologists in British Columbia.
