DPAC Executive Nominations – 2026 AGM
The District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC) is now accepting nominations for Executive positions for the 2026–2027 school year.
We encourage members of our PAC community to consider stepping into a leadership role and helping support parent voice across the district.
Who Can Be Nominated?
To be eligible, nominees must:
• Be a member of a School District 34 (Abbotsford) Parent Advisory Council
• Have a student registered in SD34 for the upcoming school year
• Not be an employee or elected official of the school district or Ministry of Education in instructional, administrative, or governance roles
Executive Positions
Elections will be held for the following positions (in this order):
• President (Chair)
• Vice President (Vice-Chair)
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Special Education Liaison
• Inclusion Liaison
• Indigenous Liaison
• Directors (2–6 positions)
Note: Positions may be shared by two individuals (co-roles), where mutually agreed.
Nominations and Election Details
Nomination Process
• Nominations are now open and will remain open right up until the time of the election
• This page will be updated regularly as nominations are received
• Nominations may also be made from the floor at the AGM
Election Details
• Elections will take place at the DPAC Annual General Meeting on May 28, 2026
• Elections will be conducted by the Nominations Committee
• If there is more than one candidate for a position, voting will be by secret ballot
Nominations Committee
We are currently seeking up to two additional volunteers to serve on the Nominations Committee.
Committee members:
• Support the nomination and election process
• Must not be planning to run for an Executive position
