Guest Speaker Cathy Peters
Children and youth face growing risks from online exploitation, sexual predators and human trafficking. How can parents recognize the dangers, help their children navigate the digital world safely, and take action to protect vulnerable young people?
Join Cathy Peters, a former inner-city high school teacher who has dedicated herself to raising awareness about human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Since 2014, Cathy has delivered more than 650 presentations to over 20,000 people, including police, politicians, educators and community groups. Her advocacy has earned recognition from law enforcement agencies across BC and a Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal.
